Prof. Radoslav Georgiev, MD, PhD

Prof. Radoslav Georgiev is a specialist in imaging diagnostics in Varna with over 25 years of clinical experience. His work focuses on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), with particular expertise in neuroradiology, musculoskeletal pathology, and MRI examinations of the abdominal organs, pelvis, and breast. He also performs ultrasound examinations of the abdominal organs, pelvis, and thyroid gland, as well as consultations and interpretation of imaging studies. Prof. Georgiev sees adult patients only.

Professional Experience

Prof. Georgiev has built his clinical and academic career at the Medical University of Varna and St. Marina University Hospital – Varna, where he has successively held the positions of Assistant Professor, Chief Assistant Professor, and Head of the Clinic of Imaging Diagnostics from 2020 to 2023. Since 2016, he has led a core imaging diagnostics course for medical residents and PhD candidates, actively contributing to the training and development of young specialists. He is currently part of the team at Odessos Medical Center – Varna, where he performs ultrasound examinations and provides imaging consultations. In his practice, he takes an analytical and detail-oriented approach, with a focus on accurate interpretation of imaging findings and clear explanations for the patient.

Education:

Prof. Radoslav Georgiev graduated from the Medical University of Sofia in 2001. In 2007, he obtained his specialty in Imaging Diagnostics. In 2015, he defended his doctoral dissertation on magnetic resonance diffusion and perfusion in primary glial brain tumors and was awarded the academic degree of Doctor of Medicine. In 2016, he was appointed Associate Professor in the field of Imaging Diagnostics.
